Is PayingPost a scam?

I have waited… and I have waited, despite of what happened to me, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt.

But up to this time, I still do not receive any reply nor payments from them. That is why I can’t help but ask this question… Is PayingPost a scam?

Just in case you are wondering, why am I talking about PayingPost and yet the logo shows BlogAdvertisingStore. They started out as PayingPost and later changed their name to BlogAdvertisingStore, perhaps because they sounded too much like Pay Per Post.

Anyway, like I said I have waited long enough for them and I believe this blog post would be more than justified.

I signed up with PayingPost way back in 2008, and from their about and faq pages, I learned that they have a minimum of $100 requirement before they make any payout.

Okay, their rules. No big deal. I can always just think of it as saving some money, and withdrawing one time once I earned enough.

While I signed up in 2008, there were not really much opportunities then. I believe, 2008 ended with only $10 in my account with them.

Again, no big deal. I always believe earning money online is not an overnight thing.

For 2009 however, especially in the middle part of the year, I really exerted efforts so that my online earnings would reach $100. Even choosing subjects I am not really familiar with. But with the help of some research, I was able to write about them.

To cut the story short, I reached $100 by the end of November 2009.

That is my account showing an earning of $186 as of November 1, 2009. It was supposed to be the biggest payout I would ever receive from any money making online opportunities.

Unfortunately, 2009 ended and I did not receive any payment from them, not even any advice of delay or anything. Everytime, I would check on my account, they would just update the dates (that’s why it’s showing March 01, 2010 now).

I made some follow-ups, sending them messages through their contact page, hoping that I would receive some reply. Unfortunately, I did not get any response, or even an acknowledgment that they received my inquiry (most websites send you acknowledgment).

A second inquiry didn’t result to anything positive either.

And then, my blogs were hacked! I can’t access my blogs, so I immediately sought the help of my techie friends (as I am clueless on this).

Imagine my surprised when I found out what was causing the problems in my blogs — it were those codes from PayingPost/BlogAdvertisingStore that I was asked to embed in my blogs to authenticate ownership.

I removed those offending codes and my blogs went back to normal, as if nothing happened.

Now, I no longer write for them. But of course, I still want to receive my money – I worked for them, I earned them, fair and square!

Unfortunately, if they did not answer me then, how would I make them answer me now?

So I ask this question, and at the same time warn others with this blog post.

What do you think? Is PayingPost (a.k.a. BlogAdvertisingStore) a scam?

They cannot say I did not give them a chance.

  7. I know a blogger friend who was able to have her cashout from PayingPost, but it took her a lot of effort [flooding them emails] just to have her money.

Hmmm, I am almost on the threshold, but I had changed my perspective in earning money online; so I guess, I already give it away, my $80 :(

    Hi Madz,

I have already emailed them, more than twice. The problem is that I am NOT even getting any acknowledgment from them. They really appear to be scam… with a bit of hacking on the side.
