Writing for online money
I admit, I write paid posts for a living. It is actually where I get most of my online earnings.
After being misled, disapointed, and disgusted by all those quick-get-rich-schemes and too-good-to-be-true affiliates, it is in writing reviews that I found my bread and butter…. and the money online here is FOR REAL!
Google hates it
Unfortunately, the Big G does not take too lightly of it and he seems to be not very much amused. So, if he noticed you doing them in your blog, expect demerits… sometimes bringing you down to ground zero level.
Yes, it’s the risk you have to take.
(Many) bloggers doesn’t like it too
One blogger I read months ago slammed all bloggers who do paid reviews in one of his blog post.
I was very much affected that I was prompted to write Hail! The demi-gods of blogging!… but no, I didn’t link to his post. So don’t bother looking for it. Anyway, I don’t think he still exist in the blogosphere.
Some of my friends don’t like it either
Yes, they made it clear. That is why they often shy away from my post they suspect is a paid review. I can live with that.
Anyway, I can always give them other stuff to read (I got one blog too many, just in case you don’t know).
But they don’t take it against me. That’s the beauty of having REAL friends. They don’t always have to like everything you do, but they will accept ALL OF YOU.
It’s not easy as it seems
Believe me, it’s isn’t. In fact, it is challenging!
Try writing about something where you have little or no knowledge at all, given specific parameters – number of words, subject, link text, and then try to fit that all in your blog’s niche.
Can you do that?
I dare you to try it… then maybe, you might have a different perspective and will no longer look down on us.
Hmm… I don’t like the mood that this post went into. It wasn’t supposed to be this way.
Anyway, this is just an introductory post of a series on the subject, where I will share more experiences (aside from PayingHoax, I mean PayingPost)… from real ones who pay.

Writing about what you don’t know is scary and frustrating. I remembered accepting a writing assignment about road bikes. Very difficult job because it’s hard to fake enthusiasm on the page. Somehow, I managed to submit a 300-word post. I think, I’ve added two years to my life writing that assignment. But I was happy Jena liked it and the people who commissioned the write up accepted it.
Do I still look unkindly at people who write sponsored posts? No, not anymore. But it doesn’t mean I’ve to read them. I’d just choose ones that interest me. Perhaps to learn something from the author on the technical aspect of writing sponsored posts? Perhaps to look for an opening so I can tease the author in the comment section. Teasing if done tastefully can be such a relief. I’m trying to learn that so I’d not be tempted to write, “Great post! You rock!”

No, Jan. I believe you have learned to accept us lol. Seriously, I know where you stand right at the start and I do appreciate the fact that you have become more lenient in our ways
Yes, it’s mind crunching writing about something you don’t know. You can’t just bluff your way around it. You need to do some real research!
Thanks Jan!

Hahaha yeah there are those bloggers who hated us because we write for money. Actually if we hated blogging, we won’t be able to earn from blogging. But there are, I think, bloggers who really doesn’t want to blog, but are earning lots of bucks online.
And yes, never ever expose their site. Publicity lang yun hahaha.
Ako kahit alam kong sponsored post, if I find it interesting, click pa ren ako
